During a rally in Pennsylvania on November 5, 2022, President Donald Trump had a recent poll displayed showing him (Trump) far in the lead with 71% support, with the next closest being Ron DeSantis at 10%, Mike Pence at 7%, and so forth.
But when Trump said DeSantis’ name at 10%, he called DeSantis, “Ron DeSanctimonious.” He didn’t expound further but simply moved on to the next person on the poll.
And of course, the prestigious journalists in the mainstream media, knowing perfectly the meaning of every word in the English language, wasted no time proceeding to gaslight their viewers! Forbes rushed to push out their hit piece: “JUST IN: Trump Mocks DeSantis During Rally: 'Ron DeSanctimonious'.”
Mocks? There’s only one glaring problem with this. “Sanctimonious” isn’t a bad word! Quite the opposite, actually. Sanctimonious comes from the French word sanctimonie, derived from the Latin word sanctimonia, meaning “sacredness, holiness, virtuous,” further derived from sanctus, meaning “holy.”
It sounds to me like President Trump knows who his strongest alliest are.
